soap bubbles from hands
evoke some of the finest
memories of nan
soap bubble laughter
seen and heard over the fence
as the sun beats down
light from my pockets
I bring out to dispel dark
thoughts that surround me.
activities are the thing
to keep my mind from wand’ring.
